CONSULTATION DAY
Siew Cheng shown us some of the FYP work done by our senior which was actually linked to our current exercise: Council For Third Age. Their short film actually convey a message to their target audience, which I think was the youth and elderly. It was actually kind of like a inter-generation short film which encourage the youth and the elderly to stay connected and interact more.
After watching the work done by the senior, we consulted Siew Cheng on our research powerpoint. After Siew Cheng had overviewed our powerpoint work, she concluded that we were actually doing research powerpoint instead of focusing more on our proposed idea. From there, she directed us to the right path. We will be giving out survey form to people also because we want to know more about our target audience which was the youth and the elderly and from there, we could analysis out and link it to our proposed idea. Therefore, our survey question were made simpler to understand so that once the people read the questions, there could easily understand. We will also be typing out two languages, English and Chinese, on our survey form so that people can read the languages.
After rephrasing the questions, making them easier to understand, our group decided to interpret out what observations we 3 made on the youth and the elderly. So there was this list of things we wrote down such as
Elderly feeling lonely at times, more traditional mindset and are normally conservative unlike the youth nowadays that are pretty open-minded, trendy and selfish. From all this interpretation we made, proposed idea we think of must be able to link and solve the problem between the youth and the elderly.
In our powerpoint, we've also included the compare and contrast of the youth and the elderly with other countries. And we found out that, elderly from other country were more active compared to locals. We got evidence and photo that we will be showing in our powerpoint. We will need to do a lot of research to fulfilled our proposal.
So far so good. Our group is doing well. Cheers! :)
